We do not require you to subscribe to marketing communications to receive a free assessment result.
Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, our processing may rely on your consent, performance of a contract or requested service, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests that are not overridden by your applicable rights.
4. Life Alignment Assessments and Personalized Recommendations
HerPath's assessments are designed to encourage self-reflection and personal development.
When you complete an assessment, your responses are used to calculate scores, create visual summaries, identify patterns, and provide relevant insights.
Some HerPath services also use artificial intelligence to help generate personalized written content, coaching prompts, or recommendations.
Where AI-assisted features are used, relevant user inputs may be processed through technology providers supporting those features, subject to applicable privacy and contractual safeguards.
AI-generated material may contain errors or interpretations that do not fully reflect your circumstances. You should use such material as a resource for reflection rather than as an authoritative assessment or professional diagnosis.
HerPath's tools are not medical or psychological diagnostic instruments.
We do not use individual Life Alignment assessment responses or private coaching notes as advertising content or make them available to advertisers for independently targeting users.

We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary to operate our services, fulfill your requests, or meet legal obligations.

We may also disclose information when legally required, when necessary to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganization, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell the contents of your personal assessment responses or coaching notes.
If online analytics or advertising technologies result in information sharing that qualifies as a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable privacy law, we will provide the required disclosures and choices.
6. Email Communications and Marketing Preferences
If you provide your email address to receive an assessment result, we may send you the requested results and related information about that assessment.
Your assessment results email may also include optional suggestions for continuing your journey through HerPath products or services.
Receiving an assessment email does not automatically subscribe you to an ongoing marketing list.
If you separately opt in to marketing communications, you may receive newsletters, personal development resources, invitations, and product updates.
You can withdraw marketing consent or unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily prevent essential transactional communications relating to services you have requested or purchased.

If we become aware of a security incident requiring notification under applicable law, we will provide the required notifications.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, support our customers, fulfill legitimate business purposes, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and its intended use.
Our general retention practices are as follows:
-
Guest Assessment Information: Assessment responses, scores, and personalized results are generally retained for up to 12 months after completion. This allows us to provide results, respond to inquiries, and support participants who wish to continue their HerPath journey. After this period, assessment information will be deleted or anonymized unless the participant has saved it to a registered account or a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Contact information may be retained separately in accordance with our marketing and communication practices.
-
Registered Account Information: Account information, saved assessments, personal development records, and related data are generally retained while an account remains active. Following account closure, information will be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes or legal obligations.
-
Coaching and Program Records: Individual coaching notes, personal reflections, and development records are generally retained for up to 24 months following the conclusion of a coaching engagement or program. Administrative records, including agreements and participation records, may be retained for up to four years or longer where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations or address potential disputes. Associated financial records are retained according to the purchase and payment records policy below.
-
Purchase and Payment Records: Transaction histories, invoices, payment confirmations, and related financial records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to meet accounting, tax, fraud prevention, contractual, and legal requirements. These records may be retained longer than other customer information when required or permitted by applicable law.
-
Marketing Contact Information: Contact details and communication preferences are generally retained while an individual remains subscribed to HerPath communications or while the information is otherwise needed for a legitimate purpose. When someone unsubscribes, we may retain limited information necessary to honor their preferences and prevent unwanted communications.
Retention periods may vary where longer storage is necessary to meet legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention practices.

Where legally required, online subscriptions will have an accessible online cancellation method that does not impose unreasonable barriers or delays.

Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the product or service purchased and the terms disclosed with that offer.
Nothing in these Terms limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot legally be waived.

Group workshops and community activities may involve interactions with other participants. We ask participants to respect each other's privacy; however, HerPath cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information voluntarily disclosed to other participants.
